My weekend was quite the whirl wind or emotions and events! I started the weekend off with the whole kitty thing which got resolved on Saturday...see the last few postings for all those details. Missy has been extra loving with me and is slowing gaining a place in my heart.
The other big issue of the weekend was that Aaron and I discussed our relationship and we moving our seperate ways. The end of last week was fairly rocky because we had kinda started this "relationship" discussion on Wednesday night but it ended weird and unfinished. Then we didn't talk for 4 days and I was stressing out...I just didn't know what the deal was. I had a feeling that this was where we were moving but I didn't know for sure. We finally got the chance to talk to last night and I was kinda angry at first. I was mad that he had waited so long to call me and left me hanging in the balence for 4 days. I told him that and that I needed to just know what was going on and what he was feeling so I could move on.
We talked for a long time and after I let him know I was upset I was able to then discuss things rationally with him. By the time we hung up I felt really good about things and we were talking like normal and able to laugh even..miracle of God! He has a lot going on right now and needs to sort though somethings with God. There are a lot more details there that I won't disclose for his privacy sake. I've prayed daily for our relationship and know that we are at this point because this is what God has for us. I feel an excredible peace about this whole situation and am relieved to know what's going on. We are at a good place and I can speak well of him and know that given so time we will be able to talk as friends. God has blessed me with an indescrible joy and I am thankful for that!! I already see the good that is coming from this situation...God used this to draw Aaron and myself closer to Him and gave me a glimpse of the kind of guy that I know I want and need some day. I have a great respect for Aaron that he was upfront and honest with me and that he made the hard choice to let me go so he didn't put me through all the issues he is working out.
So...with all that said the weekend was a whirl wind and I ended up with a nice sunburn from sitting out at the church picnic all day yesterday. I can laugh at my lobster legs and rejoice that even with all this junk going on I have an awesome God that has my best in store.

Happy Home Again!
So...I've come quite a ways in just a few short days. I obviously, from my last post, was very frustrated about the newest addition to our home...the kitty!! I did some thinking and got over myself and apologized to my roommates for my explosion the other night. This week has been rough and the kitten was the last straw and all my frustrations of work, life, and rommies came out....agh! Thankfully they were so loving and understanding and forgave me and we are all in good graces once again!! As for the kitten, her name is Missy and she will be sticking around for a few more days and then heading onto her new home. She must know that I wasn't her biggest fan at the start cause she has been super well-behaved and cuddly with me. We aren't best friends, but she sure is growing on me.

The Joys of Having Roommates!
Last night was an interesting evening at my apartment! Let me start this post by saying I have good roommates and we generally get along rather well. This spring we lost a roommate because she got married and just recently filled her place with another girl from Calvary. Tressa has been a good addition and we seem to all be meshing well.
Ok, so with that said I have to share the experience of last night. So all was good...I was home by myself playing with my new camera and sitting outside enjoying the nice cool evening. I came in to watch my new favorite show, Hopkins, and Jen, one of my roommates, got home and we started talking. Tressa called and said she was bringing something home with her but won't say what it was. I told her that we didn't need any pets so it had better not be alive! Well....Tressa comes home with a kitten!!! I flipped out! I am NOT a cat fan AT ALL and I really don't like kittens....yes they are cute but they are hyper, have claws, and haven't quite figured out where to do business yet..if you catch the dirft! I asked Tressa what she was thinking bringing home a pet without even talking with us first. She said that the kitten is not staying for more the weekend and will be living at the gym at Calvary. If that is the case then all will be fine I can endure a kitten for 3 days but if it sticks around there will be trouble I'm afraid!
It just brought back all the flashbacks of when we got a surpise puppy last Christmas...not such a good time either. I'll keep you all posted after weekend to see if the kitten really does move out.

I got a new camera!
I got a new camera!! I have been wanting something a little newer and sleeker for all my photo capturing needs and finally bit the bullet and made a purchase...thanks to my tax check! One of my favorite features is that it's this pretty plum color!! I couldn't get the traditional black or silver when they had this beautiful color?
Well, besides it's stunning color it also takes great pictures!! I posted a few below for you all to see....ok make note that I was home all alone when the camera came so I had no choice but to take picture of myself..hehehe :-)
Yea, not sure what I was doing here...whoa!
Random shot of the living room:
Ok, this one is slightly more normal!!

My Crazy Life
I never really posted an "about me" post on here...so here it goes. I am so blessed to have a great family and awesome friends in my life. I grew up in good ol' Saint Louie and lived in the same house until I headed to KC for college. Half-way through college my parents decided to move the fam to a luxurious condo a little bit west of where we grew up....okay so the condo isn't really all that luxurious and it was only a 10 min move but being up rooted from my childhood home while at college was a little tramatic...no worries I have fully recovered from the experience ;)
Growing up I stayed super busy with school, youth group, work (worked at Target forever!), hanging with friends, and babysitting. Senior year rolled around and I didn't have a clue what I wanted to be when I grew up...scary time! I hate not knowing what the plan is and I was pretty much in the dark as far as my life plan was concerned. So after much thought and prayer and I came to the conclusion....I didn't know what I wanted to do...profound I know! So I decide to follow in my big bros footsteps and move to Kansas City, MO and attend Calvary Bible College. I didn't really know what to major but chose counseling...figured with all the crazy people in this world I would get to use those skills no matter where I ended up..been proven true thus far (one word: Mike)!
Well, before I knew it my senior year of college was half over and I had to really figure out what my life plan was...I'm totally freaking out now! I again throught and prayed alot and decided to look at work in an office somewhere as a receptionist or something. Anyone who knows me even a little knows that I am an organized, clean freak! I enjoy paperwork and organizing all the details of things. I got online one day and looked up job openings at doctor's offices in the KC area (I always had an interest in medical stuff but could deal with anything gross). The first job I applied at I got a few days later and I've been there ever since (2 yrs). I've moved from being the sole receptionist to the supervisior of the whole office! Wow...time sure does fly!
So....that's catches us up now to the present. I stay busy now chillin' at home with my roomies, helping out at church with the kiddos, talking to Aaron or my fam on the phone (wish they were all close enough to see and not just talk to!), and of course keepin' up with all the shows on TV! Summer TV stinks though so I'm actually reading and getting outside now...shocking I know! :-)
Well, hope that helps give a grander picture of the crazy life I lead. It gets crazy at times but I am truly blessed and thankful for all the good times and sometimes even the not so good times.

Vacation Bible School
Today was a fun packed day of Vacation Bible School -- God's Power Lab!! The church that I attend, Calvary Chapel of Kansas City, held their annual summer VBS today for the kiddos. We do not have an actually building that we meet in for church, we meet in a school, so we decided to pack a whole week of VBS fun into one day...craziness! It was awesome though to see all the little ones get excited about Jesus and learn all about his amazing power and love. We have a great group of helpers which made the day flow smoothly. I have been helping organize and plan this event and it was really neat to see all the hard work pay off in the smiles and laughter of the kids. It's a good feeling to be worn out after doing such a great event and seeing so may kids get excited for the Lord! He gets all the glory for the success of the day!!

Aaron
About 3 weeks ago I met an amazing guy!! I was helping my friends Adam and Sarah move from their apartment to a new house. Adam's brother, Aaron, came up from Texas to help them move and I was also helping them move. God placed us in each other's paths and we hit it off right away. We had the chance to interact a lot over that weekend and have been talking, almost daily, ever since. Aaron is a great guy who loves the Lord and has his heart in the right place. I am super excited to see where God takes our relationship and will promise to keep giving updates as things progress.
Welcome!
Welcome to my blog! This is my first of hopefully many posts on this blog. I am so excited to jump into the blog scene and have a new way to keep in touch with all my peeps. I have to thank Milli at work for getting me excited and showing me how to do this whole blog thing! I can't wait to edit it more and get it looking super cute!
